Research focus
My research fields are energy materials, graphene and luminescent materials, energy materials, especially in lithium-ion batteries, cathode (anode) materials for sodium-ion batteries, interface engineering for lithium solid-state batteries, and development of solid-state electrolytes. In terms of graphene, low-cost and high-quality graphene-based materials are prepared by a green process, and have been successfully used in conductive additives for lithium-ion battery, heat dissipation, EDI shielding, anti-corrosion coatings, carbon dioxide capture, wastewater separation, photodegradation catalysis. For luminescent materials, we focus on the synthesis of LED phosphors, graphene quantum dots, carbon quantum dots, and perovskite quantum dots, and is used in white light emitting diodes, ion detection, biological imaging, solar cells and other fields.
Experience sharing
I am most grateful to the team of our Energy and Optoelectronic Materials Laboratory for winning the Snow Mountain Award in Chung Yan Christian University. Through the efforts of our cute students, we have gradually established many innovative technologies, which have enabled me to publish academic papers, industry-university plans, patents, etc. Technology transfer and other aspects have plentiful results! By mastering key technologies, equipment and R&D energy, I can apply for plans to the National Science Council, enterprises, foundations, etc., and also work harder to foreign research institutions, including Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, Mainland China, Poland, Thailand, and India in terms of bilateral cooperation plans or joint papers publications. Graduate students or undergraduate students in our laboratory have also successfully entered the industry through such laboratory platforms and applied to foreign countries. It is hoped that such a virtuous circle will allow the research of Chung Yuan Christian University to continue to improve and shine in the world.
